people always say "make sure you stretch" which is true, you need to also do that, but if you only stretch and don't strengthen, you can cause your muscles to become like an overworked rubberband, along with potential separation of the fascia and general creepy body horror bullshit.
artist psa, if you can pop your shoulder socket out and let your arm hang from it, you'll be extremely susceptible to debilitating strain while drawing. it's not supposed to be able to do that, it's a sign of weak muscles combined with hypermobility which cause compensatory strain (askmehowiknow)
