There's a direct line from "no kink at Pride" and "no sex in movies and books unless it Serves The Plot" to payment processors feeling completely empowered to censor art globally

I know we're upset about itch, but they're not the only ones

Payment processors harassed companies bc of a 1,000 email hate campaign

But we can EASILY top 1,000!

I prewrote an email + got the contact info - you just have to send!

↻💬♡ to boost

We CAN make a difference 💕

Visa and Mastercard are saying you, a consenting adult, cannot see them fuck nasty. Tell them it's not their business.

Maybe we could find out.

Mastercard (US): 1-800-627-8372
Mastercard (Int.): +1-636-722-7111
Visa (US + Can): 1 800 847 2911
Visa (AUS): 1 800 125 440
PayPal: +44-0203-901-7000
Collective Shout, the group that took credit for bullying Mastercard into recently censoring more platforms, stated that apparently it took them ~1000 phonecalls to convince them to give them what they wanted?

We got like way more people than that don't we?

ok then. one angle of attack then needs to be actively bombarding Visa and Mastercard's phone numbers and emails.

are customer support phone numbers/emails the best avenue to start with or is there a better option?
The fact that they only needed ~1000 people to call in and email to get their way is actually pretty crazy. There are more people on some of the Discord servers I'm in that could equal their weight, and some of these are just podcast fandoms.

The (ridiculously) long term answer is decentralizing as much of the internet as possible, including payment processors.

But in the short term I think we need to figure out how to apply very strong pressure on payment processors to reverse course on this flagrant bullshit.
