There’s no American majority pressing to go to war with Venezuela. The looming war is the project chiefly of Marco Rubio, who reflects the hostility of Cuban-Americans to Maduro's backing of the Cuban government. That's not even close to a sufficient reason to send Americans into harm's way.

The United States government now has destroyed 21 small boats in international waters, killing nearly all those aboard, without providing any evidence justifying the attacks. If this isn't murder, let the Administration demonstrate that it isn't. It looks like murder to me.

Trump is the President of the United States. He has demonstrated time and again that he believes the office gives him broad and unreviewable power to dictate the behavior of "his" Department of Justice. He, then, could order the release of the Epstein files today. No need for any votes.
