what you will do is look at the beautiful art @rysiutokwiat.bsky.social made of the lyhap boys. @littlefingies.bsky.social gifted me a commission which was truly the nicest thing ever especially because it produced this lovely rendering of that first dream sequence in the fic (linked below)
what is basically a screenshot of like your heart’s a pomegranate. ed is cutting up a cucumber and leaning back to bite stede’s neck. stede has a serene and soft look on his face. there is blood coming from the bite mark. they are both shirtless. there is a second view of the two of them from the back.

He was wearing white linen pants that hugged close to his hips and trailed down into wide legs that seemed to float around him. His shirt was also a soft white linen, with delicate purple embroidered roses running vertically alongside the buttons. The top three buttons were undone, displaying a beautiful hawk tattoo at the base of his throat.  He had rolled up the sleeves, revealing more tattoos along his forearms. His hair was swept up into a low, messy bun, still slightly damp, and there were those beautiful loose strands again, framing his face. They made Stede’s fingers itch with the desire to touch. Ed held his arms out wide and gave a little bow.
