Congrats to Third Way and friends for effectively calling out No Labels BS
No Labels has written an eight-page letter to DOJ full of nonsense and whining and accusing its enemies of violating, among other things, RICO, which merits the @kenwhite.bsky.social bat signal.

A lousy way to get the right result; medications and medical care should have been readily available to both hostages and Gazans throughout.

The Qatari foreign ministry says it has finalized a deal in concert with the French government to allow the hostages to receive their medications along with Gazans to receive humanitarian aid and medication.

It’s really bizarre seeing the reaction to Haley's comments about the civil war with almost no one talking about the fact many elementary and high schools teach an alternative form of history that reinforces or outright says it was not about slavery, but was about “Lincoln‘s dictatorial power.”
Folks are reacting to Nikki Haley's nonsense as though the "slavery wasn't the cause of the Civil War" argument weren't common & widely accepted across the US. I was taught it in a suburban Nebraska high school in the early 2000s. It's white comfort in a nutshell & white USians do nothing better.

3. A major change on campus since about 2010 is the creation of multiple media outlets dedicated to tracking & attacking students and faculty.
I was featured in one of these stories, and dug deeper to understand the political-media ecosystem that created it. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/how-the-hi...

I just saw that President Wax is reforming UPenn's curriculum so every student will major in the thought of a major donor.

Waxman herself is teaching a new required course for freshman: Great thinkers of the 20th Century from Adolph to Ayn.

One of the great love stories of our time
“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” President Carter said. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.”

Cancer patient here; they wouldn’t give me paxlovid because of interactions. Spent three weeks in the hospital as a result. Why don’t people believe Taylor when says these things?
How many times do disabled people need to explain to you that Paxlovid is not accessible, affordable, and many of us can’t take it (in some cases thanks to covid induced organ damage).

Now imagine there is a trolley coming….
Given the very specific circumstances, I'd either check to see if I'm on drugs or if the baby is on drugs and if the latter find out where I could get some because clearly those are some gooooood drugs.

The joke among law students, c. 1990, about to take the Ethics Exam was that all you had to do was pick the second most ethical choice to every question.

But for the S.Ct., just pick any answer at random and you'll be fine.
