Personal but professionally informed opinion, it is exceptionally unlikely that Russia or China would engage in a military conquest of Greenland. And wouldn't be difficult for the US to work with NATO allies to make Greenland even more safe from conquest than it is today

A joint NORDEFCO exercise would go some way to bolster this excellent show of unity.

A few hundred soldiers practicing the defence of Greenland within NATO scope would rhetorically be what Trump has demanded, while also sending another signal to DC, and show Nordic leadership in this matter.
The leaders of all Nordic countries - Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland - express their strong support for Denmark and Greenland.

What a time to live in, where this needs to be said.

A reminder that as long as the US is in NATO, Article 5 cannot/will not be "invoked."

It takes consensus and any member, especially its biggest and most powerful, can block consensus.

But, yeah, the Danes are very, very concerned and rightly so.
this is an incredibly crucial, terrifying point
Can we just stop and put this into perspective:

Our Scandinavian allies put out joint statements today condemning the United States, and Denmark went as far as explicitly threatening military action while hinting at a potential invocation of Article 5.

That’s genuinely fucking insane.
