i dont have hard data, but purely vibes based postcards have felt useful to me in low turnout local elections. otherwise, in normal elections i use them mostly for hitting turnout voters in deep red, very rural out areas that we aren't gonna bother canvassing

i would kind of push back on the notion that this evidence regarding whether dsa is a party or not, because that would set the limit of "party" so high such that a lot of political parties in many systems wouldn't qualify. we kind of construct an idea of a "party" that doesn't really exist
