MISSION IMPOSSIBLE THE FINAL RECKONING (2025, McQuarrie) is the series given over to its worst tendencies. the Uncharted of mission impossible films. too much hero worship, not enough spy stuff. is the Entity or Esai Morales the worst thing to happen to the series? it doesn't matter. 2/5 stars.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE DEAD RECKONING PART ONE (2023, McQuarrie) Too long, Clanky, too long! This movie is 3 hours of people finishing each other's sentences. Almost every new character is boring as hell. I'm sorry but Hayley Atwell does not have it like that. Worst photography in the series. 3/5 stars.

AI is two projects. The first is willfully degrading definitions to create a void of meaning (any algorithm is AI). The second is projecting propaganda into that void (AI can replace labor, is sentient).

This creates a space where you can claim "the Pac-Man ghosts are sentient" to sell products.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT (2018, McQuarrie) has a lot of fun follow-on from the previous adventure, but it strays more into out and out action than spy stuff, and it's just a biiiiit too indulgent? But great photography in this. Henry Cavill just wants to make friends. 4.5/5 stars.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - ROGUE NATION (2015, McQuarrie) is a goddamn spy movie! The crew clicks together like maybe never before. The set pieces are rad. I love when there's a fight at an opera! Sean Harris here and he's evil! Rebecca Ferguson kicks ass! It's a good movie! 5/5 stars!!
