If the GOP overrode his veto it would show me something. As long as Trump is POTUS the notion of bridging the gap of our polarized nation is a fantasy.

Trump fired the Board and installed loyalists in their place then took the position of Chair thusly making being associated with the newly named Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts a political statement. Therefore any artist has the right to choose whether or not to perform there.
Next year's artists signed contracts to perform at "The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts." Since a venue with that name no longer exists, and one with a very division name many artists would not wish to be associated with does, they should be able to get out of their contracts.
