“Trump’s veto of legislation that would have helped fund a water pipeline in Colorado who had criticized him drew accusations of political revenge.”
If the GOP overrode his veto it would show me something. As long as Trump is POTUS the notion of bridging the gap of our polarized nation is a fantasy.

The rules Trump likes to play under.

“The Kennedy Center changed board rules before a vote to add Trump’s name. Rules revised in May say only trustees appointed by the president can vote — barring other members from decisions. Then the board voted.”

Why is it that if people think a celebrity is crazy it gets them a free pass?
“He’s never paid for this,” Swisher said. “Because I guess everyone thinks he’s crazy.”

“I think he hasn’t paid one bit for his predatory—you know, if you look at old stories about him and women and the predatory—he’s a predator."

I get paying a lobbyist big $$ to get out of jail. The real story is Trump’s take. We know everything he does is transactional and does nothing without getting a return.
Corruption so pungent, it wafts right off the page:

Lobbyists who do pardon deals “say their going rate is $1 million. Pardon-seekers have offered some lobbyists close to the president success fees of as much as $6 million if they can close the deal.”

Trump fired the Board and installed loyalists in their place then took the position of Chair thusly making being associated with the newly named Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts a political statement. Therefore any artist has the right to choose whether or not to perform there.
Next year's artists signed contracts to perform at "The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts." Since a venue with that name no longer exists, and one with a very division name many artists would not wish to be associated with does, they should be able to get out of their contracts.

Yes, support for conservative ideology has always been about racism, as Thaddeus Stevens and Abraham Lincoln agreed about the founding of the GOP
It's the racism. People bristle at that fact but it's been true since day 1 of Trump, and if we're honest, support for pretty much any conservative ideology has been inseparable from racism for...ever? It may cloak in tax policy and morality on occasion out of convenience, but it's core is racism.

In an administration where cruelty and bullying is the coin of the realm there’s no surprise here. It seems that everything Trump touches is either illegal, corrupt, litigious, or turns into shit.
