Sussan Ley is clearly so far out of her depth that she deserves to be sacked by her party, purely for her own good.

This is perhaps the most contemptible thing any political leader has ever said in this country.

The sooner she f*cks off to obscurity the better for Australia.

Even coal fired electricity retailers now admit they can’t use so called ‘offsets’ to pretend burning coal is ‘carbon neutral’….pity the Fed Government is still literally selling a ‘green tick of approval’ via its Climate Clive program to companies who want to make exactly those misleading claims
Energy Australia has been selling coal fired energy as "carbon neutral".

The offsets used have been shown to be ineffective.

"What's really concerning is that it's the Australian Government that's been giving the tick of approval to these offsets," @richarddenniss.bsky.social said on Sky News.

Just 28 days after tomorrow's election, the government faces a critical test of its priorities.

It will decide whether to approve another 50 years of acid gas emissions from a nearby gas hub, which would signal the death knell for the 40,000-year-old Murujuga Rock Art in Western Australia. #auspol

This article, & especially the arsehole Murdoch coverage of the interest rate cut, neglects to mention a very salient point:

Peter Dutton wrote to Reseve Bank Governor, Michelle Bullock, urging her not to cut the rate. Saying, unironically, that she ‘should not give in to political pressure’.
We may have just seen a decisive political inflection point
The political consequences of this historically unique moment in monetary policy will play out in coming weeks.

The Australian Government gives most of the gas exported from Australia by foreign-owned gas corporations for free.

They pay no royalties.

The gas industry is ripping Australians off, and our governments are letting them.
