The artwork protests violence, calls for awareness, and demands action through visual storytelling and dissent.

Late to the party. Here's my #cartoonistsforg4za contribution
A black and white cartoon shows a man and a woman sitting side by side in suits at a tv news desk. A sign beneath them says bbc news. The man is gesturing and asking, "Can we call it a genocide yet?". The woman replies without looking at him. Her eyes are wide and manic. She is saying, "Not until everyone's dead, sorry!"

@bryan-talbot.bsky.social serious disrupter activity on this timeline. We need a new Luther Arkwright before it collapses!

AND, it was only adopted by England because we made a protection deal with Genoa.
The St. George's flag, a red cross on a white field, was adopted by England and the City of London in 1190 for their ships entering the Mediterranean to benefit from the protection of the Genoese fleet. The English Monarch paid an annual tribute to the Doge of Genoa for this privilege

The extreme right appropriate this flag as an emblem for a small-minded tribal concept of a mythological Britain that has never, nor will ever exist...
...except in their dreams.

This flag is special. It represents our land, our people, our history, our culture.

ALL our culture.

ALL our people.

It’s the misunderstanding of the St George’s cross that riles me up.

St George had a dad from Turkey, a mum from Syria. He was a Roman. He died in Palestine. He never visited England. He didn't kill a dragon, and he is a Christian saint, and a Muslim and Jewish prophet.

Truly staggering.
