MPs who lose their seat in an election receive 50% of their annual salary in severance pay and I’d love to hear someone in the media ask Pierre if he’s cashing that cheque before he tries to win another seat but now I’m being ridiculous because we all know Pierre will not be taking media questions.

If CBC projection holds, then I have two takeaways:
1) Lib + NDP seats = a majority
2) Many CON victories were pluralities, not majorities, meaning that those seats were won only because the "Left" split its votes
Conclusion: the consistent majority of the Canadian body politic leans left.
