Glad I called and waited 15 mins on hold to confirm that the package was held like I asked before heading out into this frigid cold because it was NOT. Now I await a call back from a @uspostal.bsky.social supervisor because I am VERY unhappy.
So rather than let them make another "attempt" tomorrow when we know damn well there'll be no changes to the roads/streets, we told the rep at the office to hold the package so we can pick it up tomorrow instead while we're out. Not playing this game of cat-and-mouse on something this important.

Hard to believe the mail carrier couldn't make it down our street to deliver our mail (which included my partner's medication they've been out of since Sunday & have been suffering withdrawal from) when all manner of other vehicles/people have managed down our street. @uspostal.bsky.social

To non-US people who keep saying US folks need to get in the streets and protest... We are. We have been. We don't want Greenland or war with our allies. We can only protest so many different issues while being attacked by our own government in our streets, homes, schools... We're doing our best.

Or we're so overwhelmed by the shit we deal with on a daily basis that we have no bandwidth to follow what's happening past our front door, much less beyond that.
Most people in the US have no idea what's going on, at all. They either live very sheltered, comfortable lives, or they suffer on a daily basis and don't know why. The vast majority would rather watch football than learn about the world. Many believe the master narrative and only focus on themselves
