My grandmother was always watching old movies on TCM, and as a little kid I loved watching with her. My older sister got really into movies as a teenager, so around age 12 I decided I was too. Our mom bought us a used copy of a textbook called “Understanding Movies” that became like scripture to me
I'm totally going to steal this as an idea for a prompt. I'm wondering about a lot of my peers and followers what turned them into cinephiles. For me, it was working in a theater as a teenager in 1984, and starting to see things I would never have paid for (like AMADEUS and THE COMPANY OF WOLVES).

In a sentence never before uttered by humans, I am delighted to share that an alligator stole my conservation instructor’s hat by jauntily walking into the water while wearing it 🐊

I remain convinced that if you resort to convenient bigotry to win votes, the people whose votes you gained will eventually vote for a more sincere bigot, while the people you abandoned will never trust you again.
These are the people telling the Democrats that abandoning trans rights is the way to win over voters.

Has joining the anti-trans UK consensus done them any good? Hmm, it really doesn't seem like voters give politicians a reward for anti-trans policies.
"Labour’s support from voters “has fallen away sharply” with a more rapid decline in its popularity than has ever been seen for a new government – after the party came to power with a smaller proportion of the vote than any previous majority government."

for all those who celebrate, today is a holiday that brings joy to families everywhere, a time we can all put aside our differences and celebrate the time that Mark Sanchez ran into a butt and dropped the football

happy Butt Fumble Day, my friends
