What is the future, fair cost of AI services?

Like in 10 years time, when the VC subsidised services need to make a profit, is it $5000 a month for what is effectively free today?

The cool thing about airline loyalty upgrade vouchers is that I get 1 free upgrade per year, but never get to use it, because no way is Mrs B letting me lounge up there in Biz while she's in the back with the kids in economy.

I'm trying out Starlink properly for the first time from NZ.
I got the hardware years ago at a huge discount, and now they're offering Roam 10GB for free until July.
They're putting a lot of effort into drumming up business by the look of it.

I'm always amazed by the disconnect on the FoxNews webpage at times like these. Apparently everything is just fine over there,

So who's writing the screenplay where it's the year 2050, the Starship just landed on mars with a batch of new recruits, only to realize they've actually joined an off-world Nazi colony?

You may be too young to remember this, but there was a time when the fight was Flow vs TypeScript, and the Big Brains were all in on Flow.

Pro tip:
If you're using @cloudflare.social products, go to ChatGPT > "Explore GPTs" > Search for "CloudflareGPT"

It's like having a solutions architect in your pocket, which is great for a ~complex product space like CF Workers/Pages/DO/D1/etc

I had a slow start on better-auth with Cloudflare Pages, but it's really nice to use once you get over the initial hurdles

The folks obsessively posting about egg prices for the past few years have gone strangely quiet just as egg prices hit an all-time high.

Ms. #1 is almost 5, so I've paid my final kindy bill for a while.
That means going from $7000 a year for kindy to $100 for public primary school.

2025 prediction: Ego Musk’s worth is cut in half as he’s now tied his boat up to Trumps shipwreck.

There will be a public falling out and petty revenge from Trump.

Each of you, go back and look at your social media activity 5 years ago (e.g. December 2019 to March 2020 period). When were you first aware or concerned enough of covid to discuss it and how were you discussing it?

We were unprepared (even after SARS) and we still don't know how to deal with it.
We have yet to process what happened. That’s why you almost never see any mention of Covid on tv shows or in movies. I think that’s also why so many people refuse to wear a mask—to do so would require reckoning with what has happened.

Hey NZers, as you know most things in NZ are expensive (and a bit shit), but have you heard about Kogan Mobile?

They're a MVMO on top of One.

Right now, there's a BOGOF offer for black friday, so if you're a couple you can lock in a year of 32GB a month, 5G for $22/pp/pm. Best deal for anything.
