Great book, and think @danielrachel.bsky.social recommended.
Never forgot how London was in the late 70’s and 80’s, with the rise of racism and the NF, and only the great work of the GLC and many others in the left transformed London into a more welcoming and diverse place.

Important article in the FT. The dog whistles of the racist far right need to be challenged and defeated.

Populists attack London because it is ‘progressive and successful’, says Sadiq Khan
Great article, but need our PM to stand up to Trump and all the other far right dog whistles. But he won’t.

Didn’t Robert Frank come up with this idea? Sure you will know the history of it!

Really good book by @hannahritchie.bsky.social and thanks for @economicsinten.bsky.social for recommendation.
Basic message, stop eating meat, and beef in particular would help things a lot 🌱 some of the farming stats are absolutely shocking

Tickets in the bag. Have seen here before at Somerset House, amazing back then, should be even better now, despite the terrible venue!

Great to be up in London yesterday for the legends that are Kermode & Mayo, and ‘hello to Jason Isaac’s’ from the States. London isn’t over btw, absolutely packed on a Sunday evening, despite the dog whistles from the far right

One of the books of the year, and great to meet on of your journalistic heroes. The book is a very important book of our time, relating to all things autism and music. The Kraftwerk chapter is very emotional, @johnharris1969.bsky.social

Inspired by Capatalism and its critics by @johncassidysays.bsky.social to dig a bit deeper into some mentioned. Starting with Karl Polanyi.

Great analysis of the broken housing market, especially in London from the FT

Great episode, where Martin Lewis is doing the job that the government is failing to do. Calling out the regulators and private monopolies that are ripping us off daily. Why isn’t Rachel Reeves doing this? @martinlewis.moneysavingexpert.com

Raúl Prebisch? Just reading about him in, and don’t teach it for AQA, but have heard of his theory, but do teach it as a bit of an extension, so, if it is him, will be good to get a full story.
Although, the chapter in this book is outstanding, as is the whole book
