Ridiculous. When I saw this yesterday, I thought there should be two officers without rifles. Being an accountant, I'd like an estimate of this complete waste of taxpayer money.
(L) Bryan Kohberger, accused of brutally stabbing four college students, was arrested in Pennsylvania and taken back to Idaho.

(R) Luigi Mangione, accused of shooting one man, a CEO of a healthcare insurance company, was arrested in Pennsylvania and taken back to NY.

The Trump bump is over in the stock market. Now if we could just dump Trump (and Vance). All I can think of is Mad magazine when I see his cabinet picks. Perfectly matching up people without the skills needed to do their job and who want to disrupt rather than improve government functioning.

It's top down politics.Much like corporate behavior, the people with seniority and with the closest ties to the "leaders' get favored over "newbies". Not based on who is most suitable for the job.
AOC was on track to secure the votes to become the next ranking member of the House Oversight Committee.

Then Nancy Pelosi threw her weight around to secure the votes for 74 year-old Gerry Connolly, who announced he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last month.

Nancy Pelosi needs to retire.

That is why "love is blind". We were all blind to her losing. And she deserved our blindness.
I’ve been obsessed with trying to figure out how my priors got me convinced that Harris would win. I really think a lot of my miscalculations spring from my being too optimistic. So now I’m trying to factor my excess optimism into my theories. Now I am really really depressed.

It's their government now. The people gave it to them.

People are just pawns to sociopaths.
This, 100%.
If you're a prominent voice for the Dems and you capitulate to the GOP to endear yourself to Trump, there's something you need to understand

MAGA will never, ever respect you

What you showed them is you can be pushed around, bought off, and owned like a little bitch

Enjoy that

And, don't forget, we also get to never vote again.

Wray made it easier for the rest of the FBI agents and staff to follow the leader out the door. Who needs an FBI when you are a criminal?
Fascists use bullying tactics to get us to comply before they have to do anything. Defiance, not compliance is necessary, because their power is our fear. Fear of what they might do. At the end of the day, they’re gonna do it anyway. What we don’t need to do is make it easy for them…

It is hard to compete with free if you are a for profit corporation. And why we have lobbyists to make sure the profiteers are protected. Money is in charge.
Is everyone paying attention?

Candidate selection seems to be let the greedy, stupid and lawless run. And then they win. Democracy is not pretty these days.
I would regret voting for Fetterman who is quickly transitioning to Manchin 2.0, but the only other option was "Doctor" Oz. Can we not do better than this as a country and a party?

Wray gets out of the way. Hard to blame a guy who is being replaced by his future boss. And on top of that he must begin enforcing the "rule of Donnie" rather than the "rule of law".
I don’t blame Chris Wray personally. I’m sure his life has been nothing but headaches since he took the job of FBI director, but with the news of his resignation, you can almost hear the foundations of the rule of law splintering.
FBI Director Christopher Wray to resign before Trump takes office
President-elect Donald Trump has said he will nominate Kash Patel as FBI director, sending a message to Christopher A. Wray that he should resign or prepare to be fired.

I don't understand compromising with stupid, fascist, and racist people. Ignoring and stopping their agendas is the way back to sanity.

Negative ads work, positive ads not so much. Killing them with kindness will just lead to no good deed goes unpunished.
All of this!!!
Dear Future Forward donors,

4 years ago I met with some of you and told you we needed a war machine to take on the Rs propaganda, focused on napalming Trump/Rs with negative ads and on message distribution, not testing.

Instead you spent A BILLION $s on positive ads.

Conclusion: She lost because she's a she.
This election result isn't about Dem messaging.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz formed a balanced ticket filled with character, intellect, and genuine love for this country, and they delivered their vision beautifully and eloquently.

Morning Joe is just creating negative buzz and using Donnie to lift their ratings. They know they were heading towards cancellation and have nothing to lose. Similar to how some people get elected.

Remember when most of the country thought "W" was a joke. Then 911, Afghanistan, and the Iraq War happened. Hoping history is not repeating itself.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”

Recovering from my obsession with political disappointments. Have removed most of my TV feeds of political shows and unsubscribed from political email feeds. No more banging my head against the wall.
