Sole caregiver for my wife. Due to a genetic peculiarity, she is paralyzed, ventilator dependent, and rarely gets out of bed due to pain. She works not because we need the money, but because the insurance is too good to give up.

After two weeks in ICU with pneumonia, a pneumothorax, and subcutaneous emphysema, my wife is home with a fractured humerus, a stage 3 tunneling pressure injury, and an anxiety disorder. She can croak out a few words if I deflate the cuff, but her sats immediately drop and I need to reinflate.
I'm only looking at funny cat pics today.

Son of a gun. I reinstalled Dragon and it's working again. Wonder how long it will last. I'm keeping the new Mac (my first), anyway.
After Dragon Naturally Speaking froze for the 9th time today, I rage-bought a Mac for my wife and had it delivered by Uber Eats. I have no idea if speech recognition is better, but it can't be worse.

If you’re a HCW who masked prior to COVID - why aren’t you masking now?
Healthcare settings are LESS safe - yet suddenly getting staff to mask is a battle.
