There's additional features in the studio version that are handy but geared more toward professional editors and colour graders. You can absolutely do amazing stuff with the standard version.

I think of every connection as a point where things could go wrong with delays or cancellations. You're more likely to experience that with the train than the flight, realistically. Check Newcastle or Teesside as well, good connections through Amsterdam.
