As a person who buys women’s wear I can say that all sizes are a lie.
I now carry a tape measure while shopping. I started doing it for thrifting, but then realized it’s just as useful for new clothes. If the measurements don’t work for my body then I don’t have to waste my time trying it on.

hell i wish brands would post garment dimensions rather than vague sizing charts
i wish brands would include more technical information in their product descriptions. i don't need to know this was inspired by timeless italian men summering in nantucket who could dress up or down. i want to know the fabric weight, leather tanning method, seam construction, etc.
