Like I've said before there's a small gaggle of FGOs who get it, but the GOFOs are completely out to lunch and sleepwalking the institution into a world where DoD regularly pulls sub 50% positivity ratings regardless of who's in the WH, and hoo boy is the institution not going to like that world

You seem really taken with this "10% of Ukrainian land" figure, but how many Ukrainians have been killed during that 12-year period? Regardless of their ability to successfully "sweep across Europe," Russia clearly possesses the ability to kill and maim hundreds of thousands of Europeans either way.

A lot of people who work in or adjacent to D politics saw Trump win the pop vote (even slightly) and it completely scrambled their world view because they thought they couldn't relate to voters anymore. The past 11 months have shown that voters may not be as far gone as they initially thought

Yeah there's basically been this slow motion contraction in academia, journalism, tech, and entertainment since mid-2022. Given these sectors produce literally all our cultural opinions, IMO it's underrated on why "bad vibes" prevail.

Basically, a load of vibe producing jobs had bad localized impacts during the biden admin (gamedev, journalism, programmers, artists). This leads me to my proposal for UBI for vibe producing jobs.
