FINALLY got a chance to pick up Walter Mosley’s The Thing miniseries “The Next Big Thing” and it was wonderful, I would read Mosley on Ben Grimm forever and I genuinely don’t think there’s a better Thing artist outside of Kirby himself than Tom Reilly.

BIG recommend

Cover to issue 3 of Walter Mosley’s “The Thing: The Next Big Thing” miniseries with unbelievably dope art by Tom Reilly. The Thing, wearing boxing gloves and a set of boxers trunks hilariously labeled “Everlovin” instead of Everlast, is slumped in his corner of the ring, beaten and bruised, with new characters Bobby Spector and Amaryllis Dejure over each of his shoulders as his ring crew.

One of the things I realised on last nights rewatch of magnolia is how John C Reilly plays a guy who would absolutely be the target audience for Tom cruises seminar but who instead decides to go through life with kindness and compassion and the movie ends with him finding love

House of M (2005): Without doubt the biggest X-Men event that is still felt today in story and with it's characters. It's really hard to think about it because the idea sounds very good for story but how it got to it here feels very "What?" depending on some characters.
