Death rates in pregnancy DOUBLED during 2020-2021, and there are mountains of evidence showing COVID infection leads to significantly worse outcomes for pregnancy & baby. There are also mountains of evidence showing COVID vaccination has no adverse effects on pregnancy or baby but does protect them.

A few years ago I visited the National Museum of African American History & Culture with my grandparents. When we stepped out of the building my grandmother kept repeating the words “I lived it. I lived it. I lived it.”

She’s still here. That history is still in her bones. You can never erase that.

I think punditry would be a lot healthier if people made the case for their policies and position on the merits first rather than framing everything they advocate for as a good electoral strategy. 90% of the time, it's what they support on the merits, so just make that case.

The anti-vax movement has gone mainstream, but before these shots, grief and loss marked the lives of children.

Opportunity cost aside, what would such a study look like?

If observational, what would it add to Denmark's study of *every child born in the entire country from 1999-2010*, which found slightly more autism in non-MMR recipients?

If randomized, how long would kids be randomized to no vaccine(s)?

Here's the second.

How many people who are so eager to save time on a review that they use an LLM to summarize their own notes are going to take the time to install a local LLM? Versus how many will think "well, I'm in a hurry and how would anyone ever know?"

This is profoundly irresponsible.

Vitamin A and Measles: it doesn't replace the vaccine
Adequate levels of vitamin A, just as any micronutrient, are important for good health. However, deficiency in the US is rare and benefit of its use in measles therein is unclear.

No, giving Vitamin A will not prevent measles. Good nutritions does not prevent measles. Vaccination prevents measles.

More not so fun measles facts

🦠wipes out up to 73% of your antibodies to bacterial and viral infections (immune amnesia)
🦠prior to the vaccine, measles killed 2.6 million people a year
🦠can survive 2 hours in a room after an infected person leaves
🦠99% of unimmunized that are exposed are infected
Doesn’t it also reset your immune system?
