It's dark out at 7pm 😭😭😭

Hah, can't decide if that's worse or better than a mosquito flying into a drink like they do all summer.

Second PSA of the day: Folks on reddit who work in health care are reporting that COVID and Flu shot bookings should open later this week, with first appointments on Oct 15th. I can't verify if this is true but it would fit with when last year's bookings opened!

Good luck! Hope it works out.

This is going around again and it is not true. Like every site on the internet, Bluesky uses machine learning to do a first-pass approximation of image classification to detect and label content. They have repeatedly confirmed outside services do not use Bluesky user data to train their models.

women should be weirder and more off putting

It genuinely depends on the event. Some have themes they want people to follow (like '80s prom night'), some have attire requirements based on the venue. But most of the time as long as you put effort into dressing up you'll be ok and blend right in. And I figure in fall knee high boots work!

I wish we didn’t wait until mid October every year to book folks for their flu and COVID boosters. Every time it’s a mad rush to try to book and hard to even find appointments. Sigh.

Please share the wwater.ca/New_Brunswic... wastewater site with friends outside of Bluesky. Link to it on your other socials. That link is directly to Sackville which is having a massive COVID surge. Read on for other observations. /1

Ooof, why??? people's feet are going to smell so bad!

This plus the 8:27 bus not showing up meant that I went from being about 20 min early to my yoga class to barely sprinting in the door on time. People wonder why folks don't take the bus unless they have no choice - this kind of stuff is exactly why.

If you've been wondering what is going on with the transit only lane going on to the MacDonald, there's a detailed update in here. I certainly was cursing the lack of lane yesterday morning when I was on a bus and we waited 20 minutes just to turn!

Yes they do! But only in unusual flavours. They also accept croissants, donuts, cookies, and pies but inexplicably will not accept sourdough bread.

I *believe* most or all of the Maynards candies (sour patch kids, fuzzy peach, all of those) are made in Canada. That's what we usually buy.

If it helps anyone else: It took NS Power 8 days to credit our payment to our account. We paid using online baking. So if you are wondering when they'll mark it as 'paid' - give it about that long!
candice.eastcoastcandice.com
Annoyed at NS Power this morning (who isn't?)

Paid the bill a week ago, with online banking which I have used for several months so I know the account number is entered correctly. But the payment still has not been applied on their end - still shows unpaid. They need to get their $h*t together.
