I've been thinking a lot lately about how much internalized racism I dealt with growing up because of how my mom's family (note: her family, not my mom herself) viewed Black people and how that shit wore off on me.
My entire childhood was an identity crisis and I didn't even realize it at the time.

Is it...weird that I don't mind the thought of keeping my given name when I start moving forward with transitioning? I already go by a shortened version that could be seen as gender neutral and I feel more connected to it than any other masc name I've considered.
