If you’re not from here, I need to explain this execution was on Eat Street, a commercial corridor of restaurants and coffee shops that literally everyone goes to. Normies, queermos, weirdos, neighborhood folks. Whatever that place is in your city, imagine ICE executing someone in cold blood there.

We’ve live streamed the genocide of Palestinians and watched people around us become disabled and die from covid infections and resulting conditions, so unfortunately I don’t have a ton of faith that we’ll somehow save the United States from increased militarization and murders.

BREAKING: The Tribune confirmed on Instagram that the man shot has died, according to two sources with knowledge of the incident.

ICE attempted to order local police from the scene, but Chief Brian O'Hara refused, sources also told the Tribune. O'Hara instructed his officers to preserve the scene.

Google's AI being down and not sorting emails is maybe what will force me to unsubscribe because jeebus.
Also it's shitty they forced people to accept the AI to have the sorting of email. They did it before but can't after?

The threat to Canada is so saturating my daughter is aware and frightened by it.

Explaining things when I can't assure her it can't happen is going to harden me.

Our children are afraid or at least it has occurred to them they have reason to be afraid.
That is so much worse than tariffs

Oh for the love of Christ.

This is the dad who goes home and fights his neighbour because he failed at work.
While he also beats his own kids.

Anyone who keeps pretending interpersonal dynamics don't get reflected in society/politics is an enabler.
Quislings who deserve the fate. It always shows

My mother brings up every year now that I was mad she and my dad missed my 8th birthday, and not only that told me it didn't exist because they were flying over the international date line at the time.

If you must go out, sunscreen is vital (mineral even better!), topped with Vaseline.

K95s work better than a scarf for keeping your face warm and not snotting all over your self, and no one can strangle or hold you by it.

Driving gloves inside mittens.

Ear covering is vital. Inner ear too.

Make no mistake, America is coming for Alberta. This requires a response at the federal, provincial, and community level. Federally, the government must summon the ambassador for an explanation and, absent a complete retraction and apology, expel him.

Bessent pans Carney, cheers on Albertan separatism amid growing US-Canada rift

Short of getting caught orchestrating a coup or assassination, this is absolutely the core case of what you expel an ambassador for.
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."

Commercial plants are planted in threes, most often one will dominate and either starve/stunt or basically absorb the other two. When young, you can separate them fairly easily since their roots won't have become entangled yet.

I'm digging in the dirt to find a silver lining but the skin freak out works as a chemical peel and it looks like I may end up with fewer lines from it.

Not worth it but a tarnished silver lining.

My doctor told me using my grow lights for SAD wouldn't work because they are not close enough to me, even the one I use as a knitting lamp over the couch, about 2-3 feet away. Plant ones are one for 12h

Friends, during an eczema flare they are burning my skin.

It definitely should work for SAD.

You know my whole life makes a lot more sense now that I understand my mother's fears weren't around normal things like sexual violence or financial dependence for her daughters but being committed to a psych ward.
That was her 'meet what you are trying to avoid' guiding subconscious fear.

They want you to think that there is nothing in the past but shame so that people flinch away from examining history.

If you examine history, you will find good people. At every time in history, you will find them.

Maybe not enough, but they were there. You can be this generation's good people.

Thinking damn it's going to be cold this weekend, see exploding trees warning cold in the same system but elsewhere.
Well, at least it's not that.

I expect inside window ice, possible burst pipes, cars not starting cold etc.
Not the sap in trees can freeze and expand cold.

For decades, countries like Canada prospered under what we called the ‘rules-based international order.’

That order is not coming back, but from the fracture, we can build something better, stronger, and more just.

Someone, a doctor, said I couldn't have lost height because my license says the same as the nurse's measurement.
Friends, it was in fact not the same.

173 and 170 are in fact different numbers. One is 5'7", the other 5'8.11".
So...where's my height?
And yeah those progressive lens are needed

Hahaha pain tolerance hits again! I may have a fractured foot and have been walking on it for like 2 weeks.
I didn't do anything but yeah the dr poking at it yesterday was like that needs an X-ray. Bruising, sweeping and heat, who knew? 🤷‍♀️

its cold enough my mother's garage entry door handle broke in her hand (it'd been really stiff so idk) and the clicker thing isn't working on the automatic door. electronics don't like things after a certain level of cold so do be careful of smart doors without alternative entries
