Listening to this Trump speech and struggling to not liquidated most of my portfolio. Tripling down on Tarrifs and boxing Congress into a shutdown. So at least a month of falling prices and the markets are about to find a whole new gear of downward momentum in the morning. Just wow...

The cruelty is real, but the incompetence is equally strong in MAGA/DOGE land. A lot of low info, non-MAGA Trump voters were likely willing to ignore the cruelty in the mistaken hope for economic competence. Break that view on any competence and the GOP is just the ~25% of voters thst want cruelty.
