⚡️🇮🇱 JUST IN: Israeli Minister Itamar Ben Gvir on CH14:

“No negotiations. Occupy area after area. War until the end. Encourage emigration.”

A genocidal plan said out loud.

Only 4 of the songs I voted for made it into the top 100.

Odd decisions from everyone else who voted.

I used to get angry when people complained about their taxes funding the ABC but I get it now
ABC news chief of staff: “We have run out of Mushroom Woman angles.”
New online reporter: “Hold my kombucha!”

Almost sent an email inviting a colleague to ring me to discus a matter.

Is it really a typo if I genuinely want to grab the issue, spin around a couple of times and fling it as far from me as possible?

I know this was rhetorical but im just going to go ahead and guess that "about as well as it went for Gen X" would be a fairly safe answer
hello fellow millennials. how are our Careers That Provide Us With Meaning and Worth going. how's that one playing out, broadly

If you want to know what's wrong with me, this morning Duolingo told me I had a "Welsh score" I don't know what that is, how I got it, how to improve it or what it means.

But I immediately looked up everyone I know who learns Welsh on that App to see if their score was lower

It's sad the mushroom hoo-ha has overshadowed the delivery of the findings of the Kumanjayi Walker coronial inquest. It's not insubstantial for the NT coroner to find that Zachary Rolfe was racist, this wasn't the first time he'd used excessive force and that Kumanjayi's death was avoidable.

I read the replies to this and it turns out journalists are not having a good time here.
If we want more journalists to be on here, you should:

- follow them here
- repost and engage with their stories
- reply to their posts with “and you’re surprised??” 3x per week

My niece told me a joke that went "why was the boy sad? He had a frog stapled to his face" and i said that was relatable because of that time i had a frog stapled to my face and she freaked out because she though her dad (my brother) must have based thst joke on a real event from our childhood

My latest idea for a game show is that we show the contestant a series of tortoises and then they have to draw them from memory.

It's called Turtle Recall

Can we get some clarity on whether the world is really ending this time because if the money in my account only needs to last for the next fortnight then I could just take this afternoon off

In July 2004, someone on a United flight from Sydney to LA wrote "BOB" on a sick bag and left it in the toilet. They found it 90 minutes into the flight and turned the plane around because they thought it might mean "bomb on board". Everyone including the Australian Prime Minister said "good call"
"Was it really this dumb in 2003" guys they renamed french fries

It says nothing good about me the YouTube recommended a Hillsong video, but if it hadn't, I never would have known that Brooke Ligertwood once introduced a song by saying this in the most serious voice you ever heard in your life

How's my day going? I put lunch in the microwave at work, went to do something else for a couple of minutes, came back and found the microwave empty, then realised I was looking in the wrong microwave.

Having realised that, the next place I checked was... the fridge

Playing sport in my early 50s is great for my mental and physical health. I love it.

Dealing with the absurd politics of a community soccer club and players who sulk and go home if you bench them is do bad for my mental health that I'm no longer sure whether I'm ahead or behind

It's a sign of how absolutely we have ruined our society that I passed a donut shop on the way to the supermarket and everyone in the queue looked tired and despondent.

I mean *gestures at everything* I get it but buying donuts on a fine Sunday morning shouldn't be a grim and joyless experience

Played in a "Battle of the Bands" put on by a church in Melbourne in the mid 90s.

Came close to last. Said "how did you go?" To the guy picking up his scoresheet next to me. He said "we won"

He was Jesse Spencer
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Too many terrible things going on so here's a few moments from the past week that were good.

Paper Aldi bag ripped as soon as I left the store. Total stranger immediately yelled across the carpark offering to give me one of his bags.

Cheers to that guy

Your regular reminder that the Democrats are, collectively, the most truly collosal chowderheads on this entire planet
Some Democrats are looking to cosy up to Musk:

Ro Khanna: “We should ultimately be trying to convince him that the Democratic Party has more of the values that he agrees with.”

Ritchie Torres: “I'm a believer in redemption, and he is telling the truth about the legislation.”
