Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. Another intriguing book shop and #warcoffee view. I bought this card this week as a thank you card for our library from our book group. It is perfect for any book lovers 😊 and made me smile. You might have to click to see all the text!

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. I am late to the #warcoffee get together. Walking and shopping and sharing a warcoffee in a cafe with a view of the sea has kept me off BlueSky. Good to catch up with you now.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. Good to hear from you today. We're out walking after yesterday's storm. It is still very breezy so walking into the wind is quite a workout 😊! Last night's sunset was quite a spectacle ⏬️

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. The cold of winter is hard and I hope your #warcoffee is warming while you write 🥰. This ⏬️ is the view from the higher floor in the museum nearby. I love leaning over the parapet and looking down on the pendulum clock that swings there.

This old tree isn't as old as the stones of Long Meg and her Daughters that circle it. It is a gnarled tree with so many nooks and crannies for wee beasties to live in. Photos of both sides. #ThickTrunkTuesday

If you're anywhere near Preston, go and see the Wallace and Gromit exhibition at the museum before it finishes in early January. It is fun with lots of clips from the films and original sets, like these ⏬️ #Lancashire

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. The bookshops of Kyiv are becoming legendary. Does everyone enjoy reading in Ukraine? We feel lucky in our small city to have 1 bookshop, although we do have an amazing second hand one. I visited a museum yesterday. This painting of a market caught my eye.

Morning Yaroslava from northwest England. That floral flask is becoming filled with meaning. I have another day socialising today. I love my friends but I need quiet times too! Here's some UK Christmas cheer⏬️

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. I saw the news about the Friday night attack. So awful 🥰. Here, we're heading south to visit my dad for lunch. It is a grey and damp day here. I don't like motorways but it has to be done (I'm not driving and taking photos!).

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. Good news about a better than expected night 🥰. Yesterday we visited a stone circle, Long Meg and her Daughters. The large sandstone outer stone is Meg and the big circle of 60+ stones are her Daughters. It's a special place.

A wintery walk above Ullswater. I would argue this is the Lake District's prettiest lake, even on a cloudy day. The walk over and below Gowbarrow from Aira Force is a treat. #LakeDistrict

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. That tree is beautiful & festive. I've been out & about, reading your posts but no time to reply. I read you were feeling tired. This isn't much but I hope this flag I saw in a tiny village we visited today will give you some joy 🇺🇦. Ukraine is never forgotten.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. Thank you for the glimpse into your life in Kyiv. A glimpse of my life ... it is sunny here. I've had breakfast and listened to the news about the talks. I've made sandwiches and a flask for our walk today and we're off!

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. And hello to the magic book shop, I feel like I know it now 😊. Enjoy writing. I will be doing the same this afternoon but at home. ⏬️ A view across a pool in low winter sun from our Sunday walk. After the deluge yesterday the sun has returned here.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. I want to thank you for your honest words and generosity. I think that supporting Ukraine is a important now as it ever has been. It is my birthday week and yesterday I celebrated with #warcoffee in a favourite place looking over the sea ⏬️

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. It is lovely to hear from you and see your bookshop #warcoffee. Today we are having strong winds, hail & sunshine! A photograph from better weather ⏬️ earlier this week. The sunlight was still connecting with the top of the mountain and reflecting in the Beck.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England and hello to Victory (still a cat). She is so soft and beautiful. I'm sharing the last of the garden roses with you and everyone here, their faded colours have a vintage beauty I think.

Happy #LancashireDay everyone. Some views from our lovely northern bit of the county.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. Of course I remember the jolly cups with flowers. I didn't realise their manufacture threatened russia! It is a grey day here but yesterday gifted us sunshine and we headed for the hills for the joy ⏬️

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. All these words. It is hard not to be cynical but I can only wait and see. I've been at book group today, a lovely discussion. I'm home now and outside a breeze is blowing the garden plants. These ⏬️ weren't killed by last week's frost and are still flowering.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. I think most of us deserve joy in our lives (there are some evil exceptions!) It is grey and damp here too, so a photo of the stone circle from our recent sunny walk. A perfect place to run around or stop and think.

Morning Yaroslava from northwest England. I'm sharing #warcoffee and remembering all the people who have died due to russian actions. On this week's winter walk I stopped into a church I passed along the way. The sunlight sang through the stained glass windows.

Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. Lovely to hear from you again. The attacks in Ternopil was a dark day in this dark war. I'm walking off my anger! These stone circles are magical places from the past.

A gorgeous day to be by the sea at Heysham. The tide was going out and the seabirds were out finding food in the mud. We had our picnic watching them, squinting in the low sun.
