First bird of my day. My herring gull wake up call arrived at 08.00, after an unexpected early heavy shower. Brighter weather is coming in from the west now and I spotted a flyover of herring gulls heading for the nearby coast. #FirstBirdOfMyDay

We use it here in Lancashire but when I've said it to friends in Derbyshire and Staffordshire they have no idea what I mean. People in Manchester seem to understand it.

That's hard. Those thoughts can be too much. I would be a lost soul in this world without the company of books 📚. Maybe a novella or something seriously gripping will work its magic🥰.
