Is anyone in media studies (or some related field?) going to write a comparative analysis of Severance and The Chair Company? Something about work/life balance and late-stage capitalism?

I just don’t see how we can pretend even for a moment that anything involving our federal government is remotely normal when the president is covering up his involvement in a child sex trafficking ring. Like, what are we doing here

There it is: $20 billion for Argentina at the same time they’re taking markets away from our farmers.

But no $ for health insurance for Americans?

NEWS --> Anna Gomez, the lone Dem on the FCC, tells me the Trump admin's pressure to oust Jimmy Kimmel may be unlawful as well as unconstitutional. FCC chair Brendan Carr may be committing censorship in violation of federal law.

That and much more in my new piece:

Trump’s Ouster of Jimmy Kimmel Is Much Worse than You Think It Is
Anna Gomez, the FCC’s lone Democratic commissioner, tells TNR that her boss’ move violates both the First Amendment and the Communications Act. Democrats must extract consequences.

This is why we have to be hyper focused on our local communities. Talk to your neighbors and service workers. Commiserate and support each other. Lead by example. Most people just don’t know what’s going on or don’t understand or just keep their heads down.
Stopped at a Midas repair shop today and the guy there brought up the CDC. This is an example where raising the salience of what is going on really can break through the noise.
“Texas Democrats lost. But they drew attention to Republicans’ efforts to put their thumb on the scale, and demonstrated a valuable tactic for galvanizing their beleaguered party.

They lost, but they lost loudly. Losing loudly has been a crucial feature of successful political movements.” Gift:

Hey look for the extra money I had to pay for my Poise pads today that are made in Canada. What a dumbf*ck
Trump: "Last week they found $29 billion and they couldn't figure out where it came from. I said, check the tariff shelf. And they said, 'How did you know that?'"

In 1999, Trump said on Howard Stern: “I have a deal with Ivanka. She’s 17 and doing great.

She made me promise, swear to her that I would never date a girl younger than her. So as she grows older, the field is getting very limited.”

Tucked away in the 'One Big Beautiful Bill' is the requirement that all visitors to the US must pay $250 just to enter the country starting 1 October! For a family of 5 that's $1250! I doubt this will help America's crashing tourism business which is down 10% already since January
