Just because I can accept him at that point doesn't mean I will

this makes total sense to me. the guy can make a movie!

Makes total sense. I'm not at all opposed to seeing them, tbh, I just have two young kids and never have time lmao. But it *is* hard for me to accept him as Poirot, mentally. I don't doubt he gives it everything, I just kinda hate that he made himself the main character (no surprise though)

but good mysteries are a treat and it's fun to have great casts doing them, so

I like to remind people, now and then, that Dan Turkenkopf helped build DRA @baseballprospectus.com, and about 15 minutes later, he was hired by the #Brewers. The stuff DRA likes, the Brewers often like, too. Angel Zerpa's DRA- the last three years: 96, 90, 74.

they brought him back on a milb deal. we're so fucking back
December 13, 2025 at 11:41 PM
yes and in my reply I said I know what Roberts said
December 13, 2025 at 11:34 PM
this is the kind of deal that makes sense for KC to me. maybe Zerpa takes off in MIL but they got back another decent RP in Mears and a potential OFer with the skills they need in Collins to hopefully raise the floor. Makes sense for Milwaukee too, with roster consolidation and upside.

fun! Zerpa is really interesting and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Milwaukee kicks him into a higher gear.
Looks like Angel Zerpa

That's fun!

so a quote a few months back is "talking the most about it"? also what was the quote?

I've seen Roberts comments, but did I miss ownership saying something? last I saw they were saying their spending is good for the sport.

yeah, ultimately we want things to make sense and happen sequentially but they don't always, and then end result might end up being something you feel good about even if it was a weird route or whatever. lots of offseason to go.
December 13, 2025 at 8:11 PM
yeah it's fine, tbc, the Mets have the money to do whatever and I appreciate that as a switch-hitter he fits their roster well, etc.
December 13, 2025 at 6:59 PM
That's mostly fine but I also wouldn't pay $20m to find out if he does it again
December 13, 2025 at 4:55 PM
guys I saw the actual numbers, I don't think you're getting the point here
