Sharing art isn't quite the same as creating it in the first place, but it's akin to that in that you are making its exist for others who might not have known it otherwise. It's an act of kindness and generosity. Something wrong with your soul if you never ever do that.

these people want to sublimate every human impulse to capital. there is no place in their world for art for art's sake. hearing them talk about this for two hours was like drinking poison

i worked at this consulting firm 15 years ago doing entry-level marketing and i was, like, suicidally depressed. yesterday made me realize why: you can't be a creative person who believes in non-monetary value and spend most of your time with people who've been totalized by capitalism

every good scary movie understands this on some level. maybe it's not a Trans Metaphor per se but it's at least a Female Sexuality Metaphor or a Gay Metaphor. in another strain of good scary movies, a long tradition but Peele is a recent example, it's a Race Metaphor. formally, critically parallel.

Tirico and Collinsworth taking the NYT “just asking questions” approach. Have a fucking opinion, guys. The mealy-mouthed shit just creates a false sense that there’s a debate to be had. The Commanders failed their franchise player miserably and no one should hesitate to say it.
