Nostalgia time! Watching Record of Lodoss War. Back in my youth I had one video cassette, I think it was the last two episodes. So now to actually watch it in its entirety. Still remember that theme song.

It's time to finally acknowledge one of the major structural problems of the Star Wars films: It heavily over-promotes major characters in rank. There's no reason why Obi-Wan Kenobi should be a general in the films; his assignments and actions tag him as a Major at most. Honestly, it's egregious.
