Kind of relieved I didn’t get to watch the Frauen game cuz yiiikes. There are some significant injury caveats but at the same time, it’s been obvious for a while that we’re not making the leap to compete with the best teams in the CL.

The radical Left has incubated an environment where political violence is not only justified but celebrated and praised. In July, nearly two dozen armed leftists connected to various Texas-based Antifa-like groups ambushed an Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE") facility in Alvarado, Texas. On September 10, 2025, a leftist assassin connected to the radical transgender movement murdered Charlie Kirk because of Kirk's bold support for truth, love of country, and unshakable faith. Two weeks later, another deranged leftist opened fire at an ICE facility in Dallas.
President Donald Trump has officially designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and instructed his administration to "utilize all applicable authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations — especially those involving terrorist actions — conducted by Antifa." Building on President Trump's bold actions, Attorney General Paxton has instructed his office to initiate sweeping investigations into radical leftist organizations engaged in or providing support to those performing political violence.

I woke up at 5:45 in my time zone (Central) for the last game! And since the 5:55/6:00 kickoff is now the most common one, I have a lot of early mornings ahead 😩 But honestly, personal disgruntlement aside, I think the biggest issue is having almost all the games played concurrently. Bad for growth!

Part of investment is investing in refereeing. I know it doesn't feel like it, but the refs and players are more aligned than not. These owners will suppress wages and hire the less qualified refs to save 10 bucks. That's a problem. Well trained and paid refs are the best refs. Imperfect, but good.

It’s never lost on me that NWSL pays for PRO2 level referees because they can’t/won’t pay for the PRO level and at some point, all the owners in the league are going to need to talk about that if they want to be serious

I do still think the club hasn’t invested enough in the squad to meaningfully bridge the gap to the top 4 (our actual current table placement notwithstanding 😛), but this squad definitely wasn’t as bad as last season’s finish would indicate.
