I am deeply disturbed by the unlawful detaining of Tufts University student Rumeysa Ozturk while she was on her way to break her fast with friends during the month of Ramadan.

This Administration is trampling over and violating students’ freedom of speech.

Rumeysa must be released immediately.

Millions of students rely on programs run by the Department of Education. Eliminating it would be equivalent to "giving up on our future," says @neapresident.bsky.social Becky Pringle.

We need leaders who will stand up for students—not dismantle the very systems that support them.
