My mom and stepdad are from the same diaspora group as Zohran Mamdani’s dad (same like “my stepdad was kicked out of the same town and knows some of his classmates”) and apparently the New York Times doesn’t understand how diaspora works, so I am going to tell you a little about my mom’s people!

Making stuff with your hands is objectively good. Not many people can make a living doing in our current world.

It’s important to recognize this in part because that makes it a lot easier to convince people we have the resources and capacity to help this very unfortunate, very small population.

1) People like their health ins.
2) Their health insurance actually sucks.
You only find out 2 when it kills you, but that doesn't change the politics of 1.

Guys the only way that selection bias of this nature would skew polls about health insurance is if literally tens of millions of Americans were dying due to denied insurance claims or other coverage issues. It’s not plausible
