Can anyone recommend books about personal archive/using someone's possessions and papers, letters, etc to construct a posthumous portrait ? Especially interested in nonficition/hybrid works. Thinking along lines of Brian Dillon's In the Dark Room, Maria Stepanova's In Memory of Memory, etc.

This is really shocking: and true. I discovered I'd just been upgraded without consent to an AI-enshittified package that was about £30 a year more expensive. Strongly recommend anyone who has an Office 365 follow the below advice to get rid of it
Microsoft is going to price gouge you by adding their genAI to your subscription without your consent, and they are not transparent about how to avoid this bullshit.

Here's how to change your subscription back to "Classic" for a lower charge without Copilot: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffi...

Reading Norah Lange is a singular experience—often, I wish she were more widely read and recognized not as "Borges’s muse" but as a brilliant writer in her own right. I wrote about Notes from Childhood by Lange (published by @andotherstories.bsky.social) and its uniqueness: bit.ly/3Zu7Map

The 2024 QSSI Translation Prize goes to Heather Cleary for her incredible rendering of Luis Felipe Fabre's RECITAL OF THE DARK VERSES. It was challenging to choose a winner but this translation stood out for its extraordinary creativity and erudition.

My favourite fact about Iceland is that we have many, many crime writers but only one forensic pathologist, and he was so busy answering all of their questions that he decided to have a small seminar for writers to get some peace.

It immediately sold out so he had another one that also sold out.
