everything I was being raised to believe and strive for is essentially backwards these days. I recognize polar opposites of me think the same and this is all part of the wackadoo world. On the same hand, how the fk did empathy become something debatable. Breeds from facts not feelings bs.

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

I don’t know how I would be getting by without nature and my dog through all this. For those of you who can’t get out in the woods, here’s 90 seconds of our hike today. Don’t miss the sneeze at the end. (I took out the sound because my feet were making such loud crunching noises.)

For the past 10yrs or so I've tried to explain to students how keyword searching trains us to see looking at the world as seeking a known target. By contrast, being in a library, archive, gallery asks us to make a network of connections, questions, possibilities. Which one makes thinking more free?
Seems to me an increasing amount of bad history is based on the idea that you can just keyword search terms (esp. 21st c. terms) to locate origins & relative usage. It's totally unimaginable to these keyword searchers why folks in the past would use diff terms or not mention common practice at all.
"the term doesn't appear therefore the concept didn't exist" is genuinely very dumb?

Again, if you did support Trump at the beginning of the year, and don't support him now that tells me 2 things about you:

1) You aren't very smart

2) You don't listen to Black people

The fact that you don't support him now, doesn't convince me that you've gotten any smarter, or started listening.

A Push for More Organ Transplants Is Putting Donors at Risk
People across the United States have endured rushed or premature attempts to remove their organs. Some were gasping, crying or showing other signs of life.

I think it's really underappreciated that solar panels are now about as cheap per unit area as mass-produced building materials like wood, siding, shingles/shakes, etc.

The Republican reconciliation bill aims to make solar expensive again in the US through tariffs and taxes.
Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analysed the cost of solar in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar panels can be cheaper than using wood.
