The turkey & green beans are an overcooked disaster. OTOH, the crescent rolls are half-baked. Please say that's not stuffing in the round dish. (Please say it's not anything else.) The macaroni and mayo or whatever that is! If I were dessert, I'd be trying to sneak out of the picture too.

I disagree. Earlier cases weren't going to settle this. The media & public knew enough to behave differently.

From the moment Kevin McCarthy traveled to Mar-a-Lago & McConnell refused to whip the conviction votes, Trump was never seemingly juiceless.

Speaking generally, I don't see the same people mad at Garland demanding Court reform. Certainly not consistently, which is what needs to be done.

IMO Garland played the politics exactly right. He showed the broad electorate (not the hyper online) that he was reluctant and then he brought pretty close to airtight cases.

Being mad at Garland (whose actions had no appreciable effect on the outcome) takes the pressure off SCOTUS and the absolute necessity for Court reform.

I'm sure that whether the AG was Garland, Jones, or the Avenging Angel with a sword in his hand, it would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.
(Whatever people think of the timing, Jack Smith put together near airtight cases. SCOTUS was never letting them near a jury.)

Doomerism is fundamentally selfish because it says nothing will get better fast enough *for me*. Nothing about future generations or harm reduction for others.

I have had eviction notices on the door. I have lived in the winter without heat. I have lived without water flowing from the faucet.

We can acknowledge parallel struggles that exist among different classes of people but what we not gone do is act like if you’re not rich you’re poor. No.
