look, laugh now.
but i firmly believe that by investing a mere $3 trillion into AI and draining 2 of the 5 Great Lakes, we may one day create a machine that successfully dispenses snacks and drinks in exchange for cash

CBS News's relentlessly-hyped "town hall" with Erika Kirk drew a mere 1.867 viewers Saturday at 8, barely beating a rerun of THE WALL on NBC (1.460) and finishing well behind college football on ABC (5M in the hour.) It also did fewer viewer than a regular 48 HOURS at 10 on CBS (2.14M.)

The real reason he came back
Although Philip Rivers made a return to pursue individual achievements, he also did something very useful for his big family in the process:

He extended his NFL-sponsored health insurance.

I keep coming back to this:

Notre Dame's two losses were by a combined four points. Their most recent loss was on September 14th.

Alabama lost by 21 yesterday.

Hi. If you are a Democrat taking anything else out of tonight’s results in TN other than it’s a big hopeful sign and we should all be working our asses off to recruit in all of the House seats we can then I have no time for you. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Anytime you encounter this in the wild, just reply "so?"

The only reason anyone would care if white people "went extinct" (and, Christ, get a grip) would be if they thought white people were inherently superior for some reason. Make them say that with their whole chest.

I seriously have no idea why you’d hire Pat Fitzgerald. He wasn’t a playcaller or strategic mind, his whole schtick was selling Northwestern Culture because he played there, and then it turns out that culture featured a brutal atmosphere of sexual hazing

Rose Lavelle likely would’ve won 2023 Final MVP if she’d been on the winning side. This year, coming off “a pretty big surgery” she’s back in the big game with the team who beat her.
Can Gotham FC's Rose Lavelle Win Her First NWSL Championship?

This is a thread detailing a series of incidents where federal Judge Ellis rules that Gregory Bovino and his agents lied or misrepresented what was happening on the streets of Chicago. In this one, she says body cam footage suggests they brake checked to cause accidents

THREAD: Judge Ellis is the first federal judge to review extensive body cam video of DHS's actions in Chicago. She finds that DHS *repeatedly* misled the public and made claims that were disproven by agents' own videos.

I'll go through some of the most egregious ones here.

I am BEGGING sports media covering Ausberry as the new AD at LSU to include this in their coverage. If you don’t, you are bad at your job and should be embarrassed.
One last thing: the domestic violence confession that Ausberry sat on and did not report was about an LSU athlete. The football player had harmed an LSU athlete. And now Ausberry is interim AD and overseeing all of athletics and athletes. Ok.

Folks - let them think this. I’ve spent 25 years doing campaigns - when you think like this after a loss like last night, you are doomed to lose again.
Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."
