I understand Fattah was born of a British mother and born in the UK
He therefore had British Citizenship at birth. He was not granted citizenship, he always had the right to British citizenship together with the bundle of rights that come with it

Citizenship can be taken away for dual citizens with connections to terrorist organisations or who pose serious security threat. That applies to him and not to you.
