They are seeing the council issuing poor quality EHCPs resulting in children receiving inadequate support, which can push some children into mental health crises with the most devastating consequences. 2/2

Today I asked the Chancellor to commit to fund children’s mental health services and the Department for Education properly to end the SEND crisis in this country and that, if she did, I could go back to Jen’s mum and tell her that her daughter’s death had not been in vain. 2/2

The OBR pointed out that the government hasn’t shown where the money will come from so maintain that cuts are a risk.

UK Power Networks told me they fixed a power fault in August and are monitoring the situation. The interim water pump is also now remotely resettable, which should stop extended water outages now. This is great news, and I’ll keep a close eye on this to make sure it happens.

This follows similar concerns over SEND governance raised by the (then) Chair of the Children’s Select Committee at Surrey County Council Fiona Davidson with the Education Secretary.
