I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

Really want to encourage libraries - especially school libraries - to put no-AI content into your collection development policy. At the very least, if you have a clause in there about requiring accurate information, you can use that to weed out or prevent genAI purchases.

Finally reading "A Sorceress Comes to Call" by @tkingfisher.com and like everything else she writes, it is utterly un-put-downable. Not in an unrelenting action kind of way, but in an inexorable unfolding and blooming kind of way. I am utterly fascinated. If you haven't read it, go fix that ASAP.
