Happy 41st birthday, JORVIK! The Viking Centre opened for the first time on this day in 1984. This short film tells the story of how it came to be.
To mark JORVIK’s 40th anniversary, we recorded interviews with members of the original project team.

This film features excerpts from those interviews and archive material, to tell the story of how this attraction came to be.
