You have to applaud the genius of managing to create a genre even worse than 'comedy/novelty country'

10. Anthrax & Public Enemy - Bring The Noise
The NYC thrashers had already been name checked in the original (with Yoko, Run DMC, LL Cool J) prompting PE fan Scott Ian to propose the collaboration and was delighted when Chuck D agreed

People are putting up their xmas trees waaay too early. I appreciate the wanting to make it seem festive as an antidote to the gloom but it is only just November and arguably driven by consumerism. This is why they're done by Boxing day whilst us heathens are just getting going in late December!

9. Parliament - Everything Is On The One
Some of the best funk tunes were about the music itself and here George Clinton takes that most universal of time signatures (going back to JB and Sly) and adapts it into a simple cosmic manifesto

When went to look at the Ring Of Brodgar is a proper Orkney day. Dreich and windy. Wrapping my head round the that 3 thousand odd years ago people carved, hauled and then set up these stones in meaningful configuration to them ( that we can only debate about) is mindblowing.

Now, this is what we should be doing - it would solve so many of the problems for artists in the UK at the moment, not least the ever-increasing and deeply unfair class divide.

Jo Boxers - Just Got Lucky
I never realised that these were three members of Subway Sect (with Dig Wayne on vocals rather than Vic Goddard)
Good song with plenty Jack Russell action in the video

Some of The Bee Gees' exercises in genre hopping between imperial phases were bizarre to say the least but I never thought I'd hear them attempt electro-pop
Not a hit it seems

I don't really come here to criticise someone's work but when AI is involved it's fair game. This isn't a half bad track but whoever commissioned the ghastly AI drivel video - they could have paid a real artist to do a montage or animation or something more meaningful
