Last night I spoke to the people of Boston about our work to improve the lives of our residents and continue Boston’s historic legacy for the public good. I’m glad that the White House watched the speech, but Boston’s record does not match their reckless propaganda.
The White House directly attacked Mayor Michelle Wu, releasing an official statement criticizing the city of Boston’s policies related to how local officials cooperate or not with federal immigration enforcement efforts.

Wu was fiercely defensive and defiant in her third annual address to the city of Boston Wednesday, and openly critical of the federal government.
