Incredibly frustrating. The tree outside my third-floor window is in bloom, and for the last few days I've had an absolute circus of hummingbirds. Wonderful.

Except I can't get a photo, because they're just too fast! They flit in, and before I can get my camera on them, they flit right out again.

Musk's censorship algorithm on Twitter reduced our audience by about 95% since he bought it.

So we moved over to blue sky.

Help us build another great following right here where the skies are clear and the water is fine ;-)

I joined @rebeccabellan.bsky.social on @techcrunch.com's Equity podcast to talk about ditching founder mode for consumer mode, how startups can push back against the growth-at-all-costs ecosystem, and the long-term outlook for AI (this was recorded weeks ago)

Forget ‘Founder Mode,’ what about Customer Mode?
Ed Zitron joins Equity to discuss the decline of traditional online services, shifting from ‘founder mode’ to ‘customer mode,’ and the future of generative AI companies like OpenAI.

This is heartening to see! The resistance is beginning.

I know we are tired. I know we are fearful. But we will make ourselves heard and reclaim this country from the grip of MAGA fascism.

I’ve seen the inside of barbed wire prison camps in America. We came back from that and shall overcome this.
The People’s March is moving through the streets of Washington: “We won’t go back!”

A broad coalition of activists — among them climate, women’s rights, immigration, anti-war, LGBT, D.C. statehood, racial justice — are mobilizing in unison against Trump, three days before his inauguration. 🧵
