(3 part post!) @michaeljruocco.bsky.social inspiring me something fierce, as per usual.. this is maybe the most effort I’ve ever put into such a stupid punchline, but this is so good that I had to do something. Go see the pig and duck film! (1/3)

365 Days of Tunes - 48/365:
In the Oscar-nominated MOUSE WRECKERS (’49), Hubie and Bertie play psychological mind games on champion mouser Claude Cat, alone in the house below. Claude is depicted as a neurotic feline here, unlike his villainous streak we've seen in MOUSE-WARMING.
Mouse Wreckers (1949)
Prod. #1076. Released on April 23, 1949. Stan Freberg voices Hubie, and Mel Blanc as Bertie.

Honestly im sharing this again because I was told I'm almost at 95% of the goal that was set.
I haven't collected anything yet since I don't have an ID yet. That could be two more weeks I'm basically living off my savings and what folks have sent through venmo and zelle right now.

It is my belief that FOX POP should be included in the same conversations as THE DOVER BOYS regarding the absolutely beautiful, crazy smearing and distortion. Literally has never been a short that moved like this with its smears. Until, you know. THE DOVER BOYS! The next Jones short after this one!

The 25th marks 4 yrs since I joined the Sponge Family and I STILL haven’t found a way to express my gratitude! I adore what I do, the people I work with, the cartoons we make. “Dream job” doesn’t begin to cover it. I still think “I work on SPONGEBOB?” multiple times a week. It means so much to me 💛
