Cha-U-Kao was a French entertainer who performed at the Moulin Rouge and the Nouveau Cirque in the 1890s.
She was depicted in a series of paintings by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
The artist was fascinated by this woman who dared to choose the masculine profession of clowning.
And a proud lesbian!

the fact i had mini perfume bottles, moss, shaker bottle oil and filler at the ready is all you need to know about me and my abandoned craft habits. I was actually dreading about doing resin cuz I didnt want to commit to the long curing time and proper safety. thank you shaker oil.

I went downstairs to get a nail to hang a thing back up, and then instead rearranged shelves, vacuumed all the carpets, then decided to turn lil perfume bottles into potions with glitter. (yes i needed to revacuum ) Its 8pm and I have not had dinner. I am not taking notes at this time.

3 small perfume bottles. One is likely a sample. Each of them are different shapes, and have different colored liquids inside of them. Blue, green and pink. The blue has gold stars, the green has moss, the pink has dried flowers

Panel 1

Penelope arrives hope after having to unexpectedly work late. She walks into the door exhausted but fully prepared to make dinner for her daughters.

Penelope: GIRLS! I'm home.

Polly: Mom, please don't be upset.

Panel 2

Polly, Olivia, and Gwen are setting the dinner table. Olivia is holding some form of burrito and Gwen has a salad. Polly wants to get the bad news out of the way. Olivia is rapidly calculating the possible consequences for everything that has happened tonight. Gwen is feeling incredibly awkward. That kind of awkward where you know your friend might be getting into trouble but you know you won't. One of the worst types of awkward.

Polly: We- I tried making dinner. I ruined a pot and made a mess. Gwen helped up make something.

Panel 3

Polly: I'll clean everything. I'm sorry.

Penelope (Quietly): You made dinner?

Penelope is suddenly overwhelmed with emotion. Polly has shown very little interest in cooking and she would never have expected her to take on the task herself.

Panel 4

Penelope sweeps Polly up into a hug. She is so happy to have such helpful daughters and that her daughters have a friend who would go out of her way to help them.

Penelope: I don't deserve such wonderful daughters.

Olivia: We're not grounded!

Gwen is still feeling awkward but it's now a much more relaxed form of awkward.

Polly & Dan (Part 3) - Gator Days

Polly is sitting on the ground. Her mind has been flooded with anxious thoughts and she's trying to calm herself down. Dan has noticed her and approached.
Dan: Uh... Hey. I'm Dan. You're Polly, right? My brother and your sister are friends.
Polly: Oh... Hi.

Panel 2
Dan grips his bottle of "Soda Flavored Soda" and attempts to see what the problem is.
Dan: Are you okay?
Polly: I'M GOOD! Don't mind me.

Panel 3
Dan tries to think of what to say. Polly is also trying to think of what to say. Despite what she just said, she's a little relieved that someone showed up and distracted her from her own thoughts.

Just in case, Dan decides to see if he can help.
Dan: Do you want to talk about it?
Polly: Yes.

Polly has been called to the school office and she doesn't know why. She is currently in the hall worrying about why she might have been called. She's especially worried that something happened to her mom or sister.

Polly: I'm fine.

Anxiety: This is bad.

Polly: My family is fine.

Anxiety: What if they're hurt.

Polly: I'm sure they're fine.

Anxiety: Was Mom in an accident?

Panel 2

Polly is sinking further into her anxious thoughts. She doesn't realize that a boy down the hall is looking her way with concern on his face.

Polly: I just have to stop worrying.

Anxiety: What if something happened.

Polly: It's all fine.

Anxiety: Is someone dying?

Polly: I'm fine.

Anxiety: It's my fault.

Panel 3

Polly puts a big smile on her face and tries to force a more positive mood. She stands defiantly with her hands on her hips.

Polly: EVERYTHING IS FINE!

Panel 1

Gwen and Polly are having lunch at the school cafeteria. Behind them are posters. One says "KEEP OUR SCHOOL CLEAN!" and shows a dog throwing away some trash. A student has written on the poster with a red marker making the dog on the poster say "I EAT FARTS" with an arrow pointing at him that says "LOSER". The trash can has "FARTS" drawn over the label but it's hard to read. Another poster that's partially out of view says "Please tell a teacher if you see a poster being vandalized." Tell is crossed out with a red marker and "FART ON" is written above it as a replacement.

Announcer: Pollyanna Treetel, please come to the school office.

Polly is getting up to go to the office.

Gwen: Are you in trouble?

Polly: I don't know.

Polly is heading down the hallway to go to the office. She begins to speculate why she has been called.

Polly: Last time I was called to the office was when Dad died. It's probably nothing. He can't die again.

Polly has a sudden sharp fear enter her head. Suddenly afraid that this might be like last time.

Polly: Unless something happened to Mom or Olivia.

Anxiety: Did something happen?

gator days is on my 'if i could adapt' for animation wishlists in the way that like, i just think it would translate super well with the themes and precious lil sincere gremlin energy characters. also lots of realistic family dynamics. we need that yo. it warms my heart.

Adding to the tragedy of this horrendous act of road violence, Ghost Padron was about to return to their job as an outreach worker at Somerset West CHC. They should have made it home that day and then later to work, helping people with addictions my community. Every life is a universe.
